Common Mistakes

Script not working / not greening

  • Shot Timing not set to "Shots and Layups"
  • Shot meter is on (turn it off for +5% green window)
  • Wrong build selected in Build Selector
  • Using a slow/hitchy jumpshot instead of a straight release
  • Script not actually running (Zen shows home screen, not script name)
  • Outdated script version — re-download from Whop and re-compile

PROG cable left plugged in

The PROG port (right side) is for Zen Studio only. If it's connected during gameplay, the Zen enters programming mode and drops your controller connection. Always unplug PROG before playing.

Charge-only USB cable

Many USB cables only charge and don't transfer data. If the Zen won't connect or show up in Zen Studio, try a different cable. The cable that came with your controller always works.

Values too high / mod conflicts

Setting everything to 5 causes mods to fight each other. AI Insta-Stop on Auto mode can cancel fades. AI Auto Tempo interferes with button shooting. Start with balanced settings, adjust one at a time.

Random disconnects

  • PROG cable connected (see above)
  • Bad USB cable
  • Outdated firmware — update before anything else
  • USB hub adding latency — plug directly into console

Controller drift

Increase deadzone to 8–10% in 2K settings. If it persists, the controller itself has stick drift.
