Warning
This will delete ALL scripts and settings from your Zen. Only do this if nothing else works.
How to Hard Reset:
1
Unplug ALL cables from the Zen.
2
Press and hold BOTH blue buttons on the front of the Zen.
3
While holding both buttons, plug the short micro-USB cable into the top CONSOLE port.
4
Keep holding the buttons until the Zen's lights flash Red, then Green, then Blue. Then let go.
5
The Zen is now completely wiped. You must open Zen Studio and reinstall your scripts.
Controller Disconnecting / Not Responding
If your controller stops working in the middle of a game:
PS5 Users: You MUST use the Zen Link or the PS5 Bypass method. If you don't, the PS5 will disconnect your controller every 5-10 minutes. See the PS5 Guide.
Xbox Users: Make sure your Xbox controller has batteries in it, even if it's plugged in with a USB cable.
Bad Cables: The cables that come with the Zen break easily. Buy a high-quality data USB cable from Amazon.
Wired Headset Not Working
If you plug your headset into your controller and can't hear anything or your mic doesn't work:
Xbox: You must downgrade your Zen firmware to version 2.0.9-beta.43. Newer firmware breaks Xbox headset audio. See the Firmware Guide.
PS5: Wired headsets ONLY work if your controller is plugged into the Zen with a USB cable. They do not work if the controller is connected via Bluetooth.
