Your jumpshot is the single most important thing in 2K. A good base with the right release gives you a wider green window, faster timing, and more consistency — especially with Green's AI Auto-Green.
Every jumpshot has a green window — a range of frames where releasing the shot counts as perfect. The wider that window, the more forgiving your timing is. Green's AI Auto-Green releases at this window automatically, but a better jumpshot base means a bigger window for the script to work with.
These are the most consistent bases in 2K26. All have wide green windows and fast releases:
| Base | Speed | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Oscar Robertson | Very fast | All-around. Largest green window in the game. |
| Steph Curry | Fast | Guards & shooters. Smooth release, great for catch-and-shoot. |
| Kobe Bryant | Fast | Mid-range specialists. Great for fades and pull-ups. |
| Kevin Durant | Medium-fast | Tall builds (6'7+). High release point, hard to contest. |
| Luka Doncic | Medium | Step-back specialists. Wide window, pairs great with fades. |
Go to MyPLAYER → Animation Store → Jump Shot Creator.
Choose your base (the most important part — this determines green window and speed).
Pick Release 1 and Release 2. These are cosmetic but can affect the feel of your release cue.
Set the release speed to max (if your jumper base allows it). Faster = less time to contest.
Set blending to 50/50 unless you specifically want one release animation to dominate the look.
