Racing Wheel Mode — Cronus Zen

Cronus Zen provides compatibility for select legacy Logitech and Fanatec racing wheels on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, including Force Feedback, pedals, brake, clutch, and shifter.

Limited support
Wheel Mode development concluded in January 2020. Further expansion is not feasible due to device memory constraints. For expanded compatibility, consider Drive Hub — a dedicated wheel adapter.

Supported Racing Wheels

BrandModels
FanatecClubSport v1, v1.5, v2 • CSR • CSR Elite • Porsche 911 GT2, GT3, GT3 R, GT3 RS v2 • Porsche 911 Turbo, Turbo S
LogitechDriving Force GT • G25 • G27
Fanatec
Fanatec wheels must be set to PS3 Mode with the DC power supply connected.
Logitech G29
The G29 works directly on PS4/PS5 without Cronus Zen. Set it to PS4 Mode with DC power supply connected.

PS5 Wheel Mode Setup

Required PS5 Settings

Power Saving → Controllers Turn OffDon't Turn Off
Power Saving → USB Ports in Rest ModeAlways
Accessories → Communication MethodUse USB Cable
Before setup
Remove all Bluetooth-paired controllers from the PS5 (Settings → Accessories → Bluetooth Accessories → Delete). Disable all scripts and GamePacks during wheel setup.

Configure & Connect

1
Connect Zen to PC via PROG USB. In Zen Studio, go to Tools → Zen Operational Mode → Wheel Mode.
2
In Device Panel, enable PS4 Speciality. Allow the Zen to restart.
3
Disconnect all cables from the Zen.
4
Connect the PS4 Speciality AUTH controller (e.g., HORI PS4 Mini-Pad) to A1.
5
Connect the racing wheel to A3. Connect the wheel's external power supply.
6
Connect the Zen to the PS5 via CONSOLE/PC USB.
7
Press the Zen reset button to sync.
Safety
During Force Feedback initialization and auto-calibration, do not touch the wheel. Unexpected movement may cause injury or incorrect calibration.

PS4 Wheel Mode Setup

1
Connect Zen to PC via PROG USB. Set Wheel Mode in Zen Studio.
2
Disconnect from PC.
3
Connect the AUTH controller (DualSense for PS5, DualShock 4 for PS4) to A1. This must stay connected.
4
Connect the racing wheel to A3. Connect power supply and all peripherals (pedals, shifter).
5
Connect the Zen to the console via CONSOLE/PC USB.
Power supply required
If your wheel requires external power (e.g., Logitech G25/G27/G29 — DC 24V 2A), it must be connected. Without it, you may get no Force Feedback, phantom button inputs, or undetected pedals.
