A question we get weekly in the Discord: "I play 2K on PS5 at home and on Xbox at my friend's place — do I need to buy the script twice?" No. And the reason why is worth understanding, because it clears up most of the confusion about how script licensing works.
The script lives on the Zen, not the console
When you buy a script from us, you download a GPC file and flash it onto your Cronus Zen through Zen Studio. From that moment, the script is stored in the Zen's own memory. The console never sees the script, never stores it, and doesn't know it exists — the Zen sits between your controller and the console as an input device, doing its work at the hardware layer.
The practical consequence: your script goes wherever your Zen goes. Plug the same Zen into a PS5 today and an Xbox tomorrow, and the script rides along. Nothing to re-download, re-activate, or re-buy.
What one purchase covers
Our licensing is per game, per person. Buy Green once and you're covered for NBA 2K26 on:
- PS5 — with the PS5-specific authentication setup, covered in the PS5 guide
- Xbox — plug in and go
- PC — the Zen presents itself as a controller to your PC the same way
Access is tied to your Whop account from checkout, so your downloads and free weekly updates follow you regardless of which platform you play on. One-time purchase means exactly that — no per-console activation, no device count games.
What is NOT covered: multiple games
The line in the model is per game, not per console. One script per game is how the whole catalog works: Green covers 2K26; if you also play Fortnite, that's Champion; Apex is Legends. Two games you want scripts for means two scripts — but each of those covers every platform you play that game on.
This is also why the scripts are as deep as they are. Building for one game per script is what makes per-game mechanics possible, as opposed to a generic pack stretched across ten titles — a distinction I've written about in the script-choosing checklist.
What actually changes when you switch platforms
The script doesn't change, but the connection setup does, slightly:
PS5
The PS5 requires a specific authentication arrangement to accept the Zen — a genuine controller involved in the chain. It's a five-minute setup the first time and second nature after. Full walkthrough in our PS5 post and the step-by-step guide.
Xbox and PC
More straightforward — the standard connection order from the connection guide applies, and the usual advice about using proper USB data cables matters double when you're moving the Zen between setups regularly. A flaky cable that survived a permanent setup will make itself known the week you start commuting your Zen between houses.
In-game settings travel with your account, not the Zen
One genuine gotcha: script tuning often assumes certain in-game settings (sensitivities, deadzone, meter options). Those live in your game account or the console's local settings, so when you set up on a second console, mirror your settings there. This trips up more multi-console players than anything about the Zen itself.
If you're setting up on a second platform
Every purchase includes a free setup call and Discord support — that covers your second console too, not just the first. If your PS5 setup works and the Xbox one doesn't, hop into the yew.gg Discord and we'll sort the difference. Demos of every script are at /watch if you're still deciding which game to cover first.
