Yes, the Cronus Zen works perfectly on PS5. It doesn't matter which model you have — the original disc edition, the digital edition, or the PS5 Slim. They all work the same way. Whether you're playing NBA 2K, shooters, or anything else, the Cronus Zen is fully compatible.
The one difference with PS5 compared to Xbox or PC is that there's an extra connection step called the PS5 Bypass. I know it might sound a little intimidating at first, but I promise it's really simple once you've done it. The whole thing takes about 10 seconds, and after a couple of times it becomes completely automatic.
Before You Plug Anything In
There are two settings on your PS5 that need to be configured before the bypass will work. This is really important, so please make sure you do both of these first.
Go to your PS5 Settings, then Accessories, and find the controller communication method. Change it to Use USB Cable. Then make sure Bluetooth is turned on. If either of these settings is wrong, the Cronus Zen won't be able to authenticate with your console. This is actually the most common issue we see in support — people skip this step and then wonder why the bypass isn't working.
The Bypass
The PS5 Bypass is all about the order you connect things. Once you understand the sequence, it makes perfect sense. Let me walk you through it step by step.
First, take your USB cable and plug one end into a USB port on your PS5. Leave the other end disconnected for now — don't plug it into the Cronus Zen yet. Next, connect your DualSense controller to the left port (A1) on the Cronus Zen.
Before you do the next step, check your Cronus Zen's screen. It needs to be on the home screen with no script loaded or running. This is really important — if a script is active when you try to connect, the bypass will fail every time.
Now, press and hold the right D-pad on your controller. Keep holding it, and while you're holding it, take that USB cable and plug it into the Cronus Zen's OUTPUT port. The Zen will authenticate with your PS5 and you'll be connected. From there, just select your script and start playing.
If it doesn't work on the first try, check these two things: make sure you were holding the D-pad before plugging in the cable, and make sure no script was running on the Zen when you connected. Those are the two most common mistakes, and fixing them solves the issue almost every time.
Once you do the bypass two or three times, it literally takes 5 seconds. It becomes muscle memory.
What About yew Scripts?
All of our scripts work on PS5 without any extra configuration. Green, Aim, everything we make — they all run exactly the same on PS5 as they do on any other platform. We test every update on PS5 specifically because it's the most popular console in our community by far.
The process is simple: load your script onto the Cronus Zen through Zen Studio, do the bypass, and you're playing. There's nothing additional you need to set up on the script side.
