Update firmware

Do this on a new Zen, and any time the device disconnects or a script misbehaves in a way that looks like a bad file. Same steps for yew2K and yewFN. Firmware is the Zen, not the script.

Update

Plug the short USB-C cable into the back CONSOLE port of the Zen, and the other end into the computer.

Turn the Zen upside down. Hold the small blue button on the bottom until the screen says Zen Bootloader.

Open Chrome or Edge and go to firmware.modcentral.ca.

Click the Cronus Zen icon, choose Latest, and continue. It takes about 20 seconds.

Xbox headset audio

If a headset plugged into an Xbox controller stays silent, that is a firmware bug on newer builds. Downgrade to 2.0.9-beta.43: bootloader again, open the same site, uncheck Hide older versions, and install that version.

Stay on the downgrade
If you installed 2.0.9-beta.43 for headset audio, do not accept a newer firmware prompt. The headset fix is that older version.
