I handle most of the technical support for the FPS script, and a pattern shows up constantly: someone tunes their anti-recoil perfectly, then changes their in-game sensitivity a week later, and reports the script "broke." It didn't break — the system changed underneath it. Your Cronus Zen script and your Warzone controller settings are one combined pipeline, and this guide covers how to set the in-game half so the script half works as designed.
The Core Principle: Settle Settings First, Then Tune
Script values like anti-recoil compensation are expressed as stick input, and the game converts stick input to view movement using your sensitivity and response curve. Change either, and the same script value produces different on-screen correction. So the order of operations is: lock in your in-game settings, then tune the script, and retune whenever you meaningfully change settings. Doing it in the other order wastes your evening.
Sensitivity
There's no single correct number — but there is a correct approach. Pick a sensitivity you can control on raw mechanics: if you can't smoothly track a strafing target at your sensitivity without the script, the script is compensating for the wrong problem. Most controller players land somewhere in the middle of the range; very high sensitivities amplify every input, including the script's corrections, which makes tuning twitchier than it needs to be. If you're between two values, take the lower one — anti-recoil tuning is more forgiving there.
Aim Response Curve
Warzone offers several response curves, and this setting changes how stick deflection maps to turn speed:
- Standard — a gentle ramp. Fine, predictable, the safe default.
- Linear — stick input maps directly to aim rate. This is the most predictable curve for a script, because a given script input always produces the same view movement. If you're comfortable on it, it's my recommendation for FPS script users.
- Dynamic — reverse S-curve that accelerates mid-deflection. Popular with manual players, but it makes the relationship between script input and view movement less consistent across the stick range.
Any curve works — the script corrects in small deflections where curves differ least — but if you're setting up fresh, Linear gives the most consistent tuning experience.
Deadzones: The Setting That Matters Most
Deadzone settings decide how much stick input the game ignores. This interacts directly with the script: micro-inputs from Polar Aim Assist and fine anti-recoil corrections have to clear your minimum deadzone to reach the game at full effect.
- Minimum input deadzone: lower it until you see stick drift, then raise it one notch. On a healthy controller this can be very low; on a worn stick you'll need more. Lower is better for script fidelity.
- Maximum input deadzone: leave at default unless your stick can't reach full deflection.

Aim Assist Type
Warzone lets you pick an aim assist style. Default (the standard rotational + slowdown model) is what the FPS script's Polar Aim Assist and Auto-Tracking are designed around, and it's what I recommend. The Black Ops style is similar in practice; the precision-focused options reduce the assist footprint the script leverages, so avoid those unless you have a strong personal reason.
Whichever you pick, remember what the script actually does with it: rotational aim assist engages on stick movement, and the script guarantees that movement. The assist itself always comes from the game.
Movement and Button Settings
A few quality-of-life settings that pair well with the script:
- Auto Tac Sprint: personal preference, but if you use the script's movement macros, set this to match how the macro expects sprint to behave — the movement macro guide covers the details.
- Slide/Dive behavior: keep it on a consistent binding; macros are sequences of button presses, and remapping mid-season means retuning.
- Trigger stops (hardware): fine to use — they shorten your physical pull, and the Zen reads whatever the controller sends.
