yewOP7/13/26New to the Cronus Zen? Here is every term you'll run into — in plain English. Skim it once and the rest of the guides will make a lot more sense.
The Hardware
| Term | What it means |
|---|
| Cronus Zen | A small hardware adapter that sits between your controller and your console or PC. It runs scripts that enhance your gameplay. |
| OUTPUT port | The USB port that connects toward your console or PC. |
| INPUT port (A1) | The port where your controller plugs in. |
| PROG port | The side port used only when connecting the Zen to a computer for loading scripts or updating firmware. |
| Firmware | The Zen's internal software. Zen Studio prompts you when an update is needed — keep it current. |
| Bypass / auth controller | On PS5, a licensed DualSense must authenticate wirelessly while the Zen handles the script. See the PS5 setup guide. |
The Software
| Term | What it means |
|---|
| .gpc file | The script file format the Cronus Zen runs. This is what you download from yew.gg after purchasing. |
| Zen Studio | The official desktop app used to load scripts, update firmware, and manage device settings. Install guide. |
| Programmer tab | The section of Zen Studio where you drag .gpc files onto memory slots and save them to the device. |
| Memory slot | One of 8 storage spaces on the Zen. Each slot can hold a different script — saving a script only overwrites that one slot. |
| Generator | The yew.gg tool that builds a script customized to you (height, jumpshot, settings) before you download it. |
Using a Script
| Term | What it means |
|---|
| Mod | One feature inside a script (e.g. Auto-Green, Anti-Recoil). Toggle mods on and off from the mod menu. |
| Mod menu | The in-game overlay menu for your script. How to open it. |
| Values | Numbered settings that control how strongly each mod performs — higher = stronger. Full guide. |
| Slot select | Cycling between memory slots on the Zen itself so the right script is active for the game you're playing. |
