You've got Hoops installed — now it's time to dial it in. The right configuration can make the difference between a script that feels natural and one that fights your playstyle. Here's how to set up Hoops for NBA 2K26 like a pro.

AI Auto-Green Sensitivity

AI Auto-Green is Hoops's flagship feature: it dynamically adjusts your shot release based on contest level, shot type, and fatigue. Start with the default sensitivity (around 70%), then tweak based on your experience:

  • Too conservative? Bump sensitivity up 5–10% — you'll hit more contested shots but may occasionally rush the release on open looks.
  • Releasing too late on open shots? Lower sensitivity slightly. The script will wait longer for the optimal green window.
  • Playing with high latency? Increase sensitivity by 10–15% to compensate for input delay.

Most players find the sweet spot between 65% and 85%. Don't max it out — extreme sensitivity can cause mistimed releases on heavily contested shots.

Stamina Settings

Infinite Stamina keeps your energy bar topped off so you can sprint, dunk, and play defense without running out of gas. For most modes, leave it enabled. If you want a more realistic feel (or if you're worried about detection in competitive modes), you can use Stamina Assist instead — it refills stamina during natural pauses like inbounding or free throws rather than constantly.

In MyCareer and Park, full Infinite Stamina is recommended. In Pro-Am or Rec, some players prefer Stamina Assist for a less aggressive profile.

Defensive AI Options

Hoops includes AI Defense for automated on-ball pressure, contest timing, and steal attempts. The strength slider controls how aggressively the script reacts:

  • Low (30–50%): Subtle assistance — good for experienced defenders who want a slight edge without losing manual control.
  • Medium (50–70%): Balanced — recommended for most players. It helps with contest timing and steals without feeling robotic.
  • High (70–100%): Maximum assistance — ideal if you focus on offense and want defense handled for you.

MyCareer vs Park vs Pro-Am

MyCareer: Go aggressive. Max out AI Auto-Green sensitivity and Infinite Stamina. The AI isn't as tough, so you can push settings higher to dominate.

Park: Slightly more conservative. Keep Auto-Green around 70–75% and consider Stamina Assist if you want a more natural flow. Defensive AI at 50–60% works well for 3v3.

Pro-Am / Rec: Competitive play means more scrutiny. Use 65–70% Auto-Green, Stamina Assist instead of full Infinite Stamina, and keep Defensive AI at 40–50%. You still get a major edge without looking suspicious.

Tips by Playstyle

Shooters: Prioritize AI Auto-Green and keep sensitivity in the 75–85% range. Defensive AI can stay low since you're often spotting up.

Slashers: Stamina is huge — keep Infinite Stamina on. Bump Defensive AI to 60%+ so you can clamp on-ball while driving. Auto-Green matters less for layups and dunks but still helps on mid-range pull-ups.

Big men: Defensive AI and Stamina are your best friends. Run Defensive AI at 70%+ for rebounds and contests. Auto-Green helps on open mid-range and corner threes — set it around 70%.

Start with these baselines, then fine-tune over a few games. Hoops updates regularly with 2K patches, so check for new presets if something feels off after an update.
