How to Configure Ghost for BO7

Ghost gives Black Ops 7 players anti-recoil, aim assist enhancement, and movement macros — but the default settings won't suit everyone. Here's how to configure Ghost for your loadouts and playstyle.

Per-Weapon Anti-Recoil Profiles

Each weapon in BO7 has a unique recoil pattern. Ghost lets you save separate anti-recoil profiles per weapon so one setting doesn't overcorrect your AR while undercorrecting your SMG.

  • ARs (e.g., Kilo, M4): Vertical recoil is moderate with slight horizontal drift. Start with 70–80% vertical compensation and 20–30% horizontal. Fine-tune in a private match by firing full mags and adjusting until the reticle stays level.
  • SMGs: Recoil is lighter but kicks in faster. Use 60–70% vertical and 15–25% horizontal. SMGs benefit from faster correction — if the first few shots climb, bump vertical by 5–10%.
  • Snipers: Most snipers have minimal recoil per shot. Set anti-recoil low (20–40%) or disable it. Overcorrection can throw off your follow-up shot or quickscope timing.
  • LMGs: Heavy vertical climb. Run 85–95% vertical and 30–40% horizontal. LMGs have the most pronounced patterns, so profiles here matter most.

Save a profile for each weapon you use regularly. Ghost can auto-switch based on your equipped gun if your setup supports it.

Aim Assist Enhancement Strength

BO7 has built-in aim assist; Ghost enhances it. The strength slider controls how much extra pull you get toward targets when ADS. Too high and it can feel sticky or pull to the wrong enemy; too low and you won't notice a difference.

  • Multiplayer: Casual matches are forgiving. 60–75% is a good range — you get a noticeable edge without it feeling like aimbot.
  • Ranked: Players move faster and strafe more. Keep enhancement at 50–65%. Higher values can overcorrect in chaotic gunfights and cost you kills.

If aim feels "magnetic" or pulls off-target when multiple enemies are near, lower strength by 10–15%. Precision matters more than raw assist.

Movement Macro Bindings

Movement macros automate slide cancels, bunny hops, and drop shots. Proper timing is critical — BO7's movement has specific input windows.

  • Bind slide cancel to a comfortable key or paddle. Typical delay between slide and jump is 80–120ms; experiment to find what feels natural.
  • Bunny hop macros can chain jumps for faster traversal. Use sparingly — overuse can look suspicious in ranked.
  • Drop shot macros trigger crouch/prone during ADS. Set a short delay (50–70ms) so you go prone mid-fight without canceling your aim.

Test movement macros in a private match before using them in ranked. Bad timing can get you killed or flagged.

Multiplayer vs Ranked Settings

Multiplayer: Go aggressive. Higher anti-recoil (80%+ on ARs), aim assist at 65–75%, movement macros fully enabled. You're optimizing for fun and kills.

Ranked: Dial it back. Anti-recoil at 65–75% on ARs, aim assist at 50–60%, movement macros with slightly longer delays. You want an edge without drawing attention or overcorrecting in sweaty fights.

Tips by Weapon Class

ARs: Prioritize vertical anti-recoil and aim assist. ARs are versatile — a well-tuned profile works at mid and long range. Consider a separate profile for burst ARs if you use them.

SMGs: Focus on fast correction and movement macros. SMG fights are close and mobile — slide cancel and drop shot macros shine here. Keep aim assist at 55–65% so it doesn't overcorrect during strafes.

Snipers: Minimize anti-recoil and aim assist. Sniping is about flicks and centering. Enhance assist only slightly (40–50%) for drag scopes; leave it lower for quickscopes.

Start with these baselines, then tweak per weapon. Ghost updates with new weapon profiles after BO7 patches — check for new presets if recoil patterns change.
